The Pirate Harasser is a bare-bones, jury-rigged variant of the “Locust” stealth craft originally manufactured by Xenodyne Kosmos. In the harsh conditions of the Hydaeleon Rift, as things age and break down, replacement parts are often unavailable so settlers have to make-do however they can. By stripping a craft down to its bare essentials and making it as simple and no-frills as possible, there are fewer systems to break and fewer things that can go wrong.
As the name suggests, the Harasser is primarily intended to be more of a nuisance than any kind of offensive powerhouse. Typically used for advance recon, it can slip into protected territory unnoticed to perform surveillance, pick off point targets from a distance using its railgun, or simply attack randomly and unpredictably to undermine enemy morale, increase their stress levels, and soften them up for a real attack. It is also commonly used to bait enemy craft into pursuit (appearing weak and vulnerable on its own), before leading them into an ambush set by larger, more capable craft.
When deploying a Pirate Harasser, use the appropriate cards for a “Locust” Stealth Craft.
This design is intended to be buildable using only parts from the Locust K.L.A.W. Stealth Craft set. The model depicted also uses some optional cosmetic parts from the Sawfly K.L.A.W. Minelayer set.
